Spotlight on Volunteers: Danny Crosser

danny_IMG_0949Dan Crosser (Danny) has been a volunteer with “GfG” for over 10 years.  Danny has been a San Jacinto resident along with his wife Ann (another “GfG” volunteer) for over 15 years and is a avid golfer. Danny originally hails from the state of Missouri. Danny retired from the LA area after working for Northrop Grumman for 30 years.  Danny served his country during the Vietnam War and distinguished himself as a true hero and for his service was the recipient of the Bronze Star with V-Device, Presidential Unit Citation, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation with Palm Device, Republic of Vietnam Civil Actions Honor Medal Unit Citation First Class, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge Expert Rifle, Marksman (M-60 Machine Gun) as well as the Army Good Conduct medal.

Danny has put “GfG” and the children who attend high on his list of priorities.  Twice a week Danny arrives early and stays late to help set up and clean up after the days activities.  Danny is liked and respected by his fellow volunteers and the children he teaches.  Danny has not only served as a volunteer for “GfG”,  but also serves on the “GfG” Board of Directors.  Danny stands out a model volunteer and is one of the many reasons why “GfG” remains an outstanding organization.
